ARCHAEOLOGY :
What was bubbling in the cooking pot of a Merovingian mother? Did she keep the leftovers in Tupperware? This museum confronts aspects of life from prehistory, the Roman period and the Middle Ages (both Early and Late) with elements of 21st-century living. Under the motto of ‘feel the past under your feet,’ you will discover the history of the city through a series of ‘do’ and ‘search’ tasks. Archaeological fi nds, replicas and reconstructions are all yours to discover in an educational yet playful manner. For each period, the daily life of the times is illuminated, using the themes ‘home’, ‘work’, ‘life’ and ‘death’. And at the end of each period, there is a ‘do-cell,’ where you can solve great archaeological mysteries!
